About

My name is Sandy and I live in beautiful SE Georgia.

Over a period of 5 years I lost a lot of weight.  A lot.

This past March the business I worked for closed and, in my stress, I started binge eating.

When I got a new job the eating didn’t stop because by then it had become habit.

Over the next 9 months I watched the scale climb higher, higher and higher …. and, finally, I decided to do something about it.

Because I had lost the previous weight in an unhealthy way I knew I had to find a different way.  A friend of my daughter’s is a 21 Day Fix coach and had I was familiar with the program because she would talk about the foods that the coach ate at work.  So I decided to look into it.

The program read as if it would not be overly complicated, it is about teaching a healthy way of eating vs. being a temporary diet and it included exercise videos you do in your own home.

Within 3 weeks I was down 14 pounds.

I won’t lie, the exercises are serious business!  BUT, if this out of shape, overweight, and not so young woman can do them, so can YOU.  There are also modification moves you can do as well (some of which I do).

I was posting my progress, recipes, etc on my FB page and people were responding very positively.  My coach said I was already coaching so I should sign up to be a coach.  So I did!

This blog will primarily be about that journey.  I’ll share recipes that I have tried and liked, I’ll share successes and set-backs, and I’ll try my best to motivate anyone who reads this blog.

I’m also very passionate about mental health, so there will be some permanent information there and possibly a few posts, here and there, if I run across news stories I think would be helpful to share.

I will also, on occasion, share a quote that inspires me.

I also have a small, at home, embroidery and vinyl business and I may share pictures and information here too.

So this blog will be a real hodgepodge!  So sit down, grab some coffee and join me.
